In 3 days we fly to Nepal to check the final details of the treks we will be adding to Monkey Mountaineering’s portfolio later this year.
My bag is almost packed, just a few last minute things to put in.
I’m feeling very excited that the time has nearly come for us to get on our way but I have lots of questions going around in my head.
What is appropriate clothing for a female in Nepal?
Have I enough clothes in to keep me warm at altitude?
Have I appropriate clothes to keep me cool in Kathmandu?
What will the flight to Lukla really be like?
How will I manage with the food being a coeliac?
Will I be fed up of Dal Bhat before the end of the trip?
How will I wash my hair?
How disgusting will it feel if I don’t wash it for 12 days?
What will it be like sleeping in the tea houses?
What if I need the toilet when trekking? What do I do with the toilet paper and sanitary waste?
How much money do I need to tip the porters?
How much spending money will I need?
How will the altitude affect me?
Am I fit enough? Will I ache? Will I want to get up and walk again each morning for 12 days?
Will I make it to Everest Base Camp? What happens if I don’t?
What animals will I see?
What will the people be like?
What will our guide be like?
Hopefully I will be able to answer these questions and post them on-line as we go.
If you have any burning questions please get in touch and I’ll try and answer them along the way.
