In most cases, no. We can usually carry out an annual climbing wall inspection while your facility remains open and operational.
Where necessary, we establish temporary cordons around the specific areas we are inspecting, allowing the remainder of the climbing wall to stay open. We work closely with your staff throughout the inspection to minimise disruption and keep normal activities running wherever it is safe and practical to do so.
Occasionally, the design of a climbing wall or the nature of a particular inspection may require temporary closure of a specific area. If this is necessary, we will discuss the options with you beforehand and agree an approach that balances safety with the operational needs of your facility.
